2018 – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) conducted economic valuation study of Ulu Tampik Waterfall (UTW) to quantify public preferences and willingness to pay for natural resource conservation. The research team was led by En. Mohd Parid Mamat, Head of Social Forestry Programme, FRIM, in collaboration with Ministry of Water, Land and Resources (KATS), Forest Department of Peninsular Malaysia (FDPM), Pahang state government and supported by Southeast Asean Regional Center for Graduate Study and Research in Agriculture (SEARCA).
