September 2018 – Sahabat Alam Tampik Janda Baik Committee received visits from SEARCA-ASRF representatives on 13th and 14th September 2018. This visit was a courtesy visit for the monitoring and evaluation of the community-based ecotourism project entitled “Conservation and Consumption Goods & Nature-Based Recreation: A Community-Based Ecotourism Project in Malaysia” that was conducted for the conservation of Ulu Tampik Waterfall. This visit was attended by Mdm. Amy M. Lecciones (ASRF Regional Program Coordinator) and Mr. Xyrus B. Capina (AWG Project Associate). The visit was also attended by Pahang Forestry Department, Forest Research Institute Malaysia and Forest Department Peninsular Malaysia. The main objective for this visit was to monitor project progress that was funded in March 2018. The itinery for the program was fully organized by local community in Kg. Janda Baik in collaboration with Sahabat Alam Tampik Janda Baik committee.
